Use Your Last Order as the Starting Point
If we supplied your bakeware before, the quickest way to reorder is to send us the original item details or your previous invoice number. That lets us match the size, material, gauge, perforation pattern and lid fit without starting from scratch. It also helps when your bakery runs more than one loaf line and each pan looks similar but does a different job.
Repeat orders are common for bakeries in Alrode, Germiston, Boksburg and Soweto that need the same pan count every month. If you are not sure about the exact spec, our team can check the old drawing, the production note or the sample piece you still have in store.
What to Send With a Repeat Order Request
The more detail you send, the quicker we can confirm stock and production timing. A short email to orders@bakerycateringequipment.co.za is usually enough, but please include the following if you have it:
- Previous invoice number or delivery note
- Item name and quantity, for example BO3, BO4 or BO5 bread pans
- Inside measurements and overall size if available
- Whether you need lids, perforation, baguette forming or divider inserts
- Any changes to gauge, finish or strengthening
- Your delivery address and contact person for receiving
If the old order was placed some time ago, include a photo of the current item as well. A picture can show wear, warping or a changed edge profile that does not always appear on paper records.
When the Spec Must Stay Exactly the Same
Many repeat orders are tied to oven spacing, proofing racks and tin trolleys. Even a small size shift can affect how many pans fit on a tray, how the loaf releases, or whether the lid sits flush. That matters in bakeries where the shift starts before load-shedding ends and the schedule is already tight.
We pay close attention to matching the earlier build when the order was made for a fixed process. This is especially important for heavier gauge builds, perforated trays and fitted lids used in commercial production. If the original piece has been altered over time, we will note that before we copy it.
If the Old Pan Is Worn or Bent
Sometimes the sample has been patched, reworked or slightly twisted after years of use. In that case we do not simply copy the damage. We measure the useful parts, check the shape against the original function and advise where the build should stay the same and where it should be corrected.
- Warps from heat or rough handling
- Weak corners from repeated stacking
- Worn seams or loose joins
- Perforations blocked by residue or old repairs
- Lids that no longer seat properly
This is common in humid coastal storage too, where mild steel can show wear quicker if pans are washed and packed while still damp. A repeat order is the right time to improve the build if the old item has reached the end of its useful life.
How We Handle Batch Reorders
Batch reorders are useful for bakeries that want the same items supplied on a schedule rather than one load at a time. Once we know your preferred spec and quantity, we can prepare future runs around your expected usage. That helps where production in Johannesburg South, Midrand or Germiston needs a steady stock flow and there is not much space for spare warehousing.
For regular customers, we can keep the note on file for size matching, pan copying, lid fitting, tray perforating and baguette forming. If you later need a small change, such as a thicker gauge or a divider insert, tell us before the next run begins so the batch is not made to the old pattern.
Collection, Dispatch and Practical Checks Before Delivery
Once the order is confirmed, we prepare it for collection or dispatch from Alrode. If you are sending a driver, please make sure the vehicle can take the packed load safely and that the receiving point can accept the pallets or loose items. For larger repeat orders, it helps to confirm access rules at the bakery before delivery day, especially where municipal loading areas or narrow service entries are involved.
Before the order leaves, we check the count, the fit and the finish. If something looks different from the last known spec, we flag it before dispatch. That saves time at the bakery and avoids receiving a batch that does not match the line it was meant for.
- Confirm quantities before collection
- Check oven or rack dimensions if anything has changed
- Keep one sample piece aside for future reorders
- Store dry to reduce surface rust and handling marks
- Report any issue as soon as the delivery is received
Need the Same Order Again, Just Faster
If you already have a working pan set, the easiest path is to keep one clean sample and one set of notes. That way the next repeat order can move quickly even if the old invoice has gone missing. Our team in Alrode deals with these requests every week, from single tray replacements to full bakery refits, so we know how to keep the process practical.
Send the old details to orders@bakerycateringequipment.co.za and tell us what needs to stay the same. We will match the previous specification as closely as possible and advise if any improvement is needed before we start the next run.
